<div> <div> <p>Strategy and Tactics</p> </div> <p>There is a famous quote stating the co relation between strategy and tactics:</p> <p><strong><em>“Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”</em></strong></p> <p>Firstly, what does it mean to be tactical?</p> <p>It refers to the skill of dealing or handling difficult situations, to achieve a specific goal. On the contrary strategy is defined as a comprehensive high- level long term plan. Being tactical focuses on task, specific procedures and resources. Meanwhile a strategy is tied to purpose, goals and vision.</p> <p>In other words, being tactical is basically for short duration but a strategy is a journey a company travel.</p> <p>So, strategy is focused on long term. Tactics is coping up with the present situation in contrast to a strategy which is for the future. Of course, you can always have a short-term strategy depending on the situation.</p> <p>Implementation of the strategy lies on with the senior management. There are three tips are recommended to sharpen the skills at becoming strategic:</p> <ul> <li>Understand what does strategy means specifically in one’s industry.</li> <li>Identify potential disrupters.</li> <li>Develop Communications that bridges the gap between organizational needs and strategy.</li> </ul> <p>One of the main reasons why one person keeps struggling is that they are more tactical than strategic.</p> <p>One needs to broaden the thought process and to know the purpose of - why you are doing? what you are doing?... In fact, if you practice this simple trick, People around you will start appreciating your work. An excellent way to become strategic is first “organizing you thoughts”. Before any important meeting, project or event spend some time to think through what things have to be worked upon and what could be the takeaways from the meeting and how will they fit into the larger goal.</p> <p>Strategy and tactics are heavily reliable on each other. Awareness of the two is initially the most important thing and to be successful it is essential that both tactics and strategy work hand in hand together.</p> </div>
